Preparing foryour surgery

Tell your doctor about any existing health problems and medications you’re taking. They might tell you to stop some medications before surgery.

You may need to have blood tests, imaging and/or an ECG.

Before your surgery, you’ll meet your anaesthetist to discuss anaesthesia for your surgery.

You’ll need to arrange for someone to take you home after your surgery, as you won’t be able to drive.
