You may be asked to wear compression stockings to reduce the risk of blot clots in your leg veins. Movement and deep breathing can help prevent clots, fluid in your lungs, and pneumonia. The nurses will let you know what to do.
Pain is different for each person. Your anaesthetist will prescribe or recommend pain medication. If you have a sore throat from the tube used during anaesthesia, you can suck throat lozenges.
After a keyhole procedure, pain or discomfort you may have shoulder pain. This is from the gas put into your abdomen during your procedure. Moving and walking helps to reduce the gas and your shoulder pain.
